Point-in-time and provenance are someone else's enterprise upsell
The reference price for a production statute and regulation API is $2,500/month, current-law only, with provenance held back for a $5,000 tier. Both of those sit in our $99 plan. No product of any kind currently offers state-level point-in-time over an API.
Competitor terms as published on 2026-07-25; vendors change pricing without notice. Our own point-in-time depth is real for Florida and current-law elsewhere — every other jurisdiction answers a historical date with an explicit miss rather than a guess. The coverage page is the authoritative account of what is actually queryable.
Common questions
What counts as a request?
One API call or one MCP tool invocation. Explicit misses — no_edition_on_file, out-of-coverage — are billed at one-tenth of a request. You shouldn't pay full price to learn we don't have something.
Is provenance really on every tier?
Yes. Source URL, retrieval time, content hash, and validity dates on every response, including the free tier. Trust isn't an upsell — it's the product.
What happens when I hit my limit?
On Explorer, requests stop — free users can never owe money. On paid tiers, overage is metered at your tier's per-1K rate against a spend cap you set. We never silently degrade results.
Can you prioritize my jurisdiction?
Scale customers vote on ingestion order and their demand drives the queue. Enterprise agreements can pin specific jurisdictions to contractual delivery dates.
Can we train models on the data?
Training and redistribution rights are a separately licensed grant, available with Enterprise agreements. API and bulk access alone don't include them — talk to us.
